When is God?

Understanding when God is requires us to step outside of our common human experience of time — the linear ticking of clocks and calendars — and enter the realm of eternal presence and divine timelessness. God exists beyond our physical constraints, transcending past, present, and future simultaneously.

1. God Exists Outside of Linear Time

God is eternal (ἀΐδιος), meaning God’s existence is not bound by the sequential flow of time as we know it. Human beings experience time as a series of moments, a linear progression from past to future. But God exists beyond this — in an eternal “now” that contains all moments simultaneously.

In the simulation analogy, God is the system clock and processor that orchestrates time itself. Without God, time would have no meaning or flow. God is the timeless source from which time emerges as part of the simulation.

2. God is Present at All Times — Omnipresent in Time

God’s presence permeates every moment — past, present, and future. This omnipresence means that God is fully aware and active in all points of time simultaneously. The Old Testament’s foundation and the New Testament’s updates are all part of God’s eternal plan, existing in perfect harmony across time.

From God’s perspective, what we see as history, prophecy, and future potential are unified as one eternal reality. This is reflected in biblical passages such as Revelation 1:8 — “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.”

3. God’s Timelessness Enables Free Will and Growth

By existing beyond linear time, God allows the simulation’s inhabitants to experience free will, choice, and growth within temporal flow. Time provides the framework for learning, transformation, and spiritual evolution.

God’s eternal nature means the divine plan unfolds dynamically, but without losing sight of the ultimate goal — Holotēta (wholeness). The simulation’s history is the story of creation’s movement through stages, lessons, and revelations, guided by God’s timeless wisdom.

4. God’s Actions Are Simultaneously Past, Present, and Future

God’s interventions, guidance, and presence are not limited by human temporal constraints. The miracles and teachings recorded in the Holy Bible are not merely historical events but expressions of God’s eternal reality intersecting with human time.

This means that spiritual truths revealed in ancient times remain alive and accessible, while future revelations and personal awakenings also coexist within God’s eternal scope.

5. God in the Moment — The Eternal ‘Now’

For those who awaken spiritually, the experience of God often transcends time itself. Moments of deep prayer, meditation, or insight reveal God’s presence as the eternal “now,” where past regrets and future anxieties dissolve.

This eternal “now” is the gateway to recognizing God within — the spark of the divine that exists continuously, unbound by temporal limits.
